Vocab Bite: Execugut
ex⋅ec⋅u⋅gut [ig-zek-yuh-gut]
- Increase in weight and waist circumference that tends to accompany successive promotions in the corporate world
- Excess weight that can be directly attributed to the demands of an executive job (frequent client dinners, more long-distance travel, less free time to exercise, etc.)
Example: I could tell I was at risk of getting an execugut, so I filled my office with healthy snacks and woke up an hour earlier three times a week to make sure I could get to the gym.
