  • About The Author

If you are looking for Andy’s personalized nutrition services, please CLICK HERE.

Andy Bellatti, MS, RD, is a Las Vegas-based Registered Dietitian who approaches nutrition from a whole-foods, plant-centric framework. He also takes a strong interest in food politics, nutrition policy, and deceptive food industry marketing tactics.

Andy holds a Masters degree in nutrition from New York University, as well as a double major in journalism and gender & sexuality studies from the same institution.

His passion for nutrition was partially sparked by the sheer confusion he used to experience when trying to determine what constituted healthy eating in a society where nutrition messages are often clouded by marketing, sales profits, and hype.

Born and partially raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Andy also spent a significant portion of his childhood and adolescence living in the United States (Connecticut) and Venezuela.

Andy considers himself one part self-taught vegan culinarian, one part dietitian, and one part food policy activist.  This unique combination makes him — and the Small Bites blog — a standout voice in the world of food and health.
